Seriousness bred by responsibility

The Return

Having just returned from such a special journey, she felt lost sitting in her own home, in her own special room. She missed the smells, the sound, the heat…it was surprising what little you appreciated when you had it all before you, until it was too late.

Her eyes watered as she pictured the spectacular sunset as it caressed the minarets whilst it carried out the command of its Creator. The green dome with its lush colour created a delicate nuance against the backdrop of a molten red sky. As much as the picture looked like a painting, she could still hear the call to prayer, which flooded the warm marble floors, almost as if it were wrapping the earth in a soft blanket, preparing it for the evening dedicated to the worship of its Lord.

And as she pictured the beauty of an indescribable city, and the awe encapsulated her very being, she whispered a prayer, ‘My Rabb! How Perfect You are. Glory be to You, and praised be You! Ya Rabbi!! Protect and bless this city, and bring those who have not had the opportunity to visit to the land of Your Habib SAW, so that they too may experience this breathtaking feeling and innermost joy!’ Ameen.
